Claimants of the Dust Throne
The waste keeps count.
At the top of Throne of Dust stand the Claimants of the Dust Throne — the hundred who climbed highest, ranked by standing for all to see.
Every duel you win, every league you break, every foe you leave in the sand pushes your name up that list.
Your standing is carried by your name, chosen when you first stepped into the dust — the identity that follows you up every rung of the climb.
To sit among the Claimants is to be one of the few the waste chooses to remember; to fall from it is to be swallowed back into the anonymous dead.
There are no shortcuts onto the board, only the long, honest climb through the ranks.
The names at the very top wear the highest mark the waste can grant, earned at the end of the hardest road.
Some climb for the glory of it; some climb because the alternative is to be forgotten.
Either way, the dust is watching, and the dust is counting.
Climb high enough, and it will carry your name.
Let go, and it will bury it.
